You guys remember when we played a game; the most comments ever in history. We stopped at 372 and I thought that was a lot. Now I blog DailyKos and they average 5000 comments in one day if the topic is hot.
So they have thing thing they call open thread, everyone goes crazy and free associates.
Tonight, I am frustrated about something, about an email that I was expecting. What happened was that sometimes my emails go to the spam folder, and I have no idea if my email didn’t get sent or if its in the spam folder. So I have to say excuse my language and fck it.
My frustration is spam folder!

my mother and her volunteering me to do crap for other people!!!! ive complained about this consistently for a year now and you’d think shed get it by now…but nope! ARRRGGGHHHHRRRR!!!!!
I am frustrated about gas prices. I think Ethiopia should use this to his advantage and start exporting well bred donkeys as means of transportation. And give donkey maintenance classes at the learning annex or community colleges worldwide.
I’m so frustrated by the flight of time!! Why won’t it ever go in the direction one wants it to go?

this probably sounds vain but trying to lose the last freaking 10 pounds{you know to lose the junk in trunk} ,so frustrating .So currently I am low carb diet day 2 I will kill for nice hambash with tea.sorry to be so superficial but I got to vent.thanks for letting me.
I for one am frustrated about a few things:
1. so much to do/see/find/hear/learn and I have “limited” time
2. all the “beautiful” men I find attractive..
3. missing friends/family all the time!
4. the sunshine messin with my head as I sit in my office with no windows
basically that i can’t be in more than one place at a time… not that I’m not a positive being who loves every minute of life

I think diets are overrated. if you really want to lose weight I think working out is easier and better…

1. The Ayet Fukeker Spending a dollar to make dime.
2. CoWorkers with grand ideas but Zero work ethic. You get paid for working..not for your visions of how we should collect forms, ok.
3. $4.00 a gallon benzine. Can I work from home ?
4. Daily bridge toll to work. Can I please work from home ?

So how about we put this biases away and resume with our frustrations..huh?

Things that frustrate eh, uhmm where to start? British laws frustrate me, children in conflicts, trial by media bothers me ,and trying to remain a vegetarian in a culture of meat eaters is extremely frustrating….
London taxi drivers who know about every subject in the media or even the world a lot more than I do then as if that was not bad enough they show off and proceed to tell me all about it… it starts off as amusing and only comes to an end after I reach my destination by which time it has long stopped being amusing I could win a price for sighing, but I haven’t got the heart of guts to tell them to stop, what if they throw me into the street? I don’t like risking it so I just sigh until the end,…electronic muggers more grrrrrrrr, what else?….people who knock at my door with leaflets who want to save my soul more than I want to save my soul frustrate me,..yeah , they tell me they care too amazingly, they make me sigh because like the cab drivers they too don’t listen to my objections, even telling them I haven’t got a soul hasn’t worked so far, so I gave up and resigned myself for the knock on the door it is only once a week, it is sort of bearable…and lastly it is frustrating when love and friendship is lost for the flimsiest of reason and nothing is ever the same again…

Thanks gal pals… now I understand where the frustration is coming from….why should our body be repressed for some Euro-centric standards? Right? Okay…but I say let’s be thankful that we haven’t lived in the corest era. Can u imagine what it would be like?? Anyways… at a time like this where you have tons of choices ranging from sexy to granny… sporty to push up, strapless, 3 ways, cotton,lace, nursing bra, wireless,…. so many competitive brands and so many ways to wear them. Going bra-less on the other hand could be an option for some, as for me,…I would feel like going on the streets naked. I’d rather feel the discomfort(if any) than catching every man’s gaze at my nipples.

Last year BA lost the luggage of one guy, his bride and his best man on their way to the wedding with all the wedding clothes in it, they eventually got their bags but no compensation so they decided to put their frustration in song, promptly BA said they would offered compensation but received no reply blah blah standard industry reply when when caught unaware, and they are still losing everyones bags or seinding the bags and their owners to different countries…here is the link…

The BA fiasco, they have been at it for months now, but the opening of a new terminal T5 2 weeks ago has turned it into an unmitigated disaster that shames BA, they’re lucky they only got mocked for it.I now know 4 people who went abroad all with no clothes at all sheesh….

I knew it was too good to be true that Teddy was able to say what he said about Meles or his party and be able to get away with it without any problems. I guess it was just a matter of time. I feel so bad for him considering how much he loves his country and how he didn’t want to stay away when he could have. Meles is playing way too many dirty games (such as his games with Kinijit) that will eventually will catch up with to him, at least I hope. I also sympathize with the innocent victim that lost his life.

In Uganda they used to have this morning Radio show called, Flash Time.note that,
that is toilet flashing. So you can call and say ..I want to flash the president or my firend or my boss for doing this and that. The radio host has a sound effect of toilet flashing. He calls all the names of people that are asked to be flashed and put on the flash sound. It was so much fun . Its not everyday you hear ppl say ..”well Mr. President you are going down the drain today”…lol

China produces two types of goods: one that goes to Africa and one that goes to the West. Why? Because, China doesn’t value us, doesn’t respect us, doesn’t see us as equal partners, and capable of knowing what it provides us, even if we do, it thinks we are momentarily powerless & sees us as desperate incapable lots, so it plays the market as a merchant and a consumer both at the same time. We are at its mercy. UNTIL, we decide to empower ourselves and wake up to learn and throw off the exploitation and deal sensibly and honorably.
In exact the same token, ARE they being treated as equal partners? are they getting their money worth? are they being FOISTED OFF over time?

All it’s doing is my head in into deciding 2 days from voting for a new Mayor if I want to be loyal to a candidate with same political inclinations as I but who has already served 2 terms and in his own words said that no Mayor should rule more than 2 terms as it encourages corruption, take him at his words and pension him off maybe?.., one thing I am sure of I am not voting for change if change means voting for a Conservative, but if I vote for neither and choose the third candidate who probably has less chances than both to bevoted Mayor then I might be doing the unthinkable and let the same someone I was objecting to in.This is giving me a headache.

If I were you, and I like the guy, and I think he has done reasonably good job, I wouldn’t worry about the political pandering that get one in office. If term limit is important to these that elected him, why was it not legislated or at the very least an attempt made…. As far as corruption although I agree unlimited or longer terms can induce it, I think oversight, tranceparency, media can also prevent it. I would judge the guy based on what he has done, not what he said.

How are things across the pond?:). A term here is four years. There is no limit to how many terms a Mayor can serve.
The present Mayor has served from 2000 to now, the first time as an Independent after being chucked out of the Labour Party for speaking agaisnt then Iraq war and in 2004 as a Labour candidate after being re-admitted to the party. He is ok generally but I think he has had his day (8 years of it)his swan song (the congestion charge)and he hasnt done anything else and half his staff is being investigated for fraud, and his words about corruption came back to haunt him .
The candidate I really want to vote for is the third canditate but since he is not likely to win I am stuck having to vote for Ken (our present Mayor) which I dont want to just to keep the loony Conservative’s candidate power seeking grubby hands off London. It is happening the Con candidate islikely to win tell us the bookies and the polls say either one might win.

Wright may kill the Obama change, but it’s a change I am beginning to think even MLK and majority AA would not be satisfied with tokenism or affirmative action. Theese children’s wit, their determination, their laughter, their EMPATHY, their vision, their compassion, their deep conscience, and their generosity even when know they had it so meager spoke the volume what they were made of. They were rich in the mind, in the soul, in the conscience.

British comedy I think might be an acquired taste, not sure about best in comedy but the thing the British do really well is farce. Faulty Towers is more or less a farce and most of the best British comedy shows are the ones who are OTT like Faulty Towers, Monthy Payton, Yes Prime Minister and newer ones like Mr Bean ,Little Britain and individual comedians like Russel Brand brand of comedy-farce. Anyway you got the best British comedian of recent times Eddie Izzard and now Russel brand is your way, he might be too odds for Americans though..

Russel Brand, is somewhat funny, but lacks a certain subtlety in his delivery. It’s the casual and restrained delivery in Izzard’s stream-of-consciousness rants that makes him so much more poignant.

I like both comedians for different reasons, both are flamboyant in different ways, Eddie uses knowledge of history in his comedy, his humour is wry and observational and I think his delivery more sophisticated…
Russell Brand I feel is the master of tall stories and camp flamboyancy even more than Izzard but he is not unique in style or delivery or originality like Eddie is, I think he chose a safe style, it is called “camp comedy” and it is a style of many English comedians he just rehashed it a bit and put his individual stamp on it, hopefully he will keep any Ben Hill influences out, coz that is just bad comedy no one wants to see here and so passe` too…

I dont like human beings who molest the most vulnerable beings in our society who can neither give consent nor protect itself from human abuse and I am not a pyschologist but I could swear that folk who abuse one vulnerable species(no their own)will have little qualms into moving abusing others of their own species maybe, probably the ones who cant protect nor give consent…if it was up to me I would chuck them into prison and throw away the key, well after they had a fair trial and it was proved beyond reasonable doubt they did do what they were accused of and convicted of it, then throw away the key.

Hidaya, if I recall right, Chiapas, southern end of Mexican state, is where the indigenous population revolted against the central government in the late 90s.At the time I had an Argentinan professor who made a big deal out of it saying while the Chiapas cause may be legitimate, this is outside agitators work, the Chiapas are poor peasant who don’t read and write. Anyhow, they were brutally suppressed and I think in addition to injustice they still live under constant fear of what seems military junta in southern mexico. If this donkey story is true, it may just well be a representation of what goes on in Chiapas, conquestidors vs Aztec/Maya/Incas… a victim is victimised in countless ways.
Anonx thank you for the historical background to Mexico political history, I read a little about the Incas but that is ancient history of their old civilisation, do they still have military juntas
The only other South American country I know a little about is Chile and the horrid man who used to rule it Augusto Pinochet.
I once saw one of his victims who was father to a friend of mine my friend’s dad was never the same after being kept in prison for five years and tortured almost all the time he was there.
He came here in the 90’s pretending to me mentally incompetent so that he wouldnt have to face trial here or Spain, the Spanish wanted him tried for murder of their citizens and it did take almost two years but eventually the goverment threw him out.
As soon as he landed back in Chile he stopped the mumbling act and his mind restored back to being competent again, then he died in his bed of old age unlike many of his victims, life truly was kind to that man, he committed many crimes agsint humanity didnt pay for a single one of them a bit like our our African despots, they dont pay for their crimes either….
Hidaya, I dont think they still have military juntas, but the way the Maya in the state of Chiapas are treated hasn’t really changed from the days when they had juntas. The poor peasants live in the most fertile mexican state constantly harrassed because of the fight they have/are waging to reclaim their land from absentee landlords and prevent corporates from buying their land. A band called Rage Against the Machine has a song on the plight on Chiapas and their Zapatista guirilla movement. If you haven’t heard of the band, they are popular anti-corporate band of the 90s who focused on a lot of Maya/Aztec issues. Pinochet I think would be a typical military juntas… how he came to power and why as described in Shock Doctrine is very interesting reading on Chile. The Incas are still alive, they just had their first pure blood as president of Bolivia

I just though, animals get arrested too in Ethiopia, don’t they? I have heard of the band but not into their music, it is strange Anonx this country doesn’t really have any protest band or at least it didn’t in the nineties apart maybe from Gorillaz , protesting about anything in music apparently stopped back in hippy days and punk days since then nothing, there has been the obligatory band or two protesting about wars and carpet bombing abroad but none have kept it up , we do have bands that promote world music though and collaborate with African musicians, still no protesting but at least African music is promoted …

He wrote a book about Iraq too Standard Operating Procedure which I just read the review of yesterday but no in a hurry to read it infact right after the grim stuff abut Rwanda I will move on to one of my favourite Yank writers David Foster Wallace, humorous and brilliant essayist, he makes me laugh and I will probably need it after Mr Gourevitch account of Rwanda, after that welcome welcome we might as well start the campaign for animal rights, rights to be free from perverted human desires and sexual abuse sheesh,or to be confiscated like one would with property or to be locked up in prison for somethign their owner did or didnt do, or to be used to somehow coerce the owner to do something or give something as for being put in prison that is just wrong dont folk see they are animals making them being NOT of reason?….I am making the banners now:)..Hyde Park awaits lol…Happy holiday Anonx..
Hidaya, right off the bat, RATM, Public Enemy and System of a Down come to mind … i honestly don’t think we’re at a shortage of political/activist/protest music … what we’re missing is an ACTUAL revolution of sorts. we definitely have the soundtrack.
Toothpick I think American bands and artist are more vocal in protesting so that is a eginning.

I read about fela kuti, a musician, who I think embodies a musician working for social change. He was a thorn to one of the most repressive governments in Nigerian history, being imprisoned multiple times, beaten, and barely avoiding death. Unfortunately he had too many women, and that eventually killed him from AIDS.

Sad news. A young girl of 15 was stabbed to death yesterday. She was still in her school uniform as she lay dying in a lift. She was killed by a crazed stalker whom both she and her family complained to the Police about. At various stages yesterday she was described and Somali, Ethiopian and Eritrea. Today some paper are writing she is Eritrean. The Police did nothing about the family’s complaint of the stalker and now a young life has been cut short because of their negligence. May she rest in peace…I dont now why we have a Police force, they protect themsleves from danger more than they protect the public.

I dont even know what to say Hidaya… I attended a funeral last month of a young guy who passed away horribly. I hope the families and friends find the support to regain strength and continue to live as best as they can.
Anonx this gets sadder, the poor mother’s face is all over the papers today looking desolate with grief in addition the guy might be Eritrean too and only two weeks ago he violently struck her and threatened to kill her, a complaint was made to the police but nothing was done and though they did speak to Warsima the young girl at school can you imagine that without a child specialist with them, and they never even followed up the complaint by trying to interview him, and now they are saying they only knew of one incident not a campaign of harassment and stalking.
The family will complain to the Police Complaint Commission the papers are reporting today. Very sad. London is a jungle and the least said of our police the better. I hope her family can find strength in each other.RIP…
Hidaya-I saw the news clip and images online… sad and shocking. Seems your city is a jungle, really, all the murders of young people within a year… a total of 16 and a police force that doesn’t take terroristic threats seriously; they could least issue restraining order before they finish investigating. They just dont care, do they? My heart goes out to the young girl and her family, may she rest in peace.

I hate point of principles, I hate them even more when to make a point on principle also means losing a cherished friend because of it. I know I have done the right thing, but I truly wish I didnt find myself in a position to do so, now… why is it that doing the right think always involve personal sacrifice of giving up people or things that one wants to keep rather than lose?….

Anyway, a wise friend will appreciate your point of principle, and with humility ingratiate him/herself into your good graces. A foolish friend won’t, and I guess its wise to let such ones drift away.
Hidaya – from experience, I will tell you some principles are just not worth sticking to. You have to stop and re-examine sometimes. If one just looks at certain principles and is not flexible in certain ways , I don’t know … you ( and your relationships ) might end up losing at the end of the day .
I would say the best principle is love … if you do things in the principle of love – then things / relationships would be much much more smoother.
if only all of us are able to do that all the time …..

I think I like cest moi approach, because I made a principled stand a few years back and i’ve come to realize, nothing changed because of it. The only thing that happened was I got labeled as unpredictable because I went against expected dynamics. Life seems to be about striking a balance, learning when to let it go and not to let it go, to me thats more art than science. Either way i’ve become lethargic in taking principled stands.

I worried that my friend might be one of those stoic types who when as it sometimes happens in life you part ways for thousand and one reasons from people, act all stoic about their loss or refuse to acknowledge it either to themselves ,or their mates making you feel you didnt matter much in the first place…
I was pleasantly surprised that isnt the case with friend because I dont like stoicism or stoics I like real strenght that comes thru pain and understanding not negating things in order to be strong and strength that is willing to show vulnerability ..stoics call that weakness,I am not sure what to call stoics, ut strong isnt a word I would use the way I understand strenght:) ….
On everyday things, I have stages, first I stick my head in the sand, then raise it a bit and, only if something is too much then I get to the point making stage, in other words I am too lazy for nitpicking and ego tripping about everything and use the long robe, it doesnt do me any good coz somehow it feels it is me who gets hang with it and it isnt the way it is supposed to go is it?lol..

Basically she made a sex tape for her boyfriend way back in HIGH SCHOOL who still had the tape and either sold it or released it. TMZ.com claims to have the tape but “decided not to release it” probably because she was underage and in high school at the time?
