Dominating is an understatement; these sites are webspaces of their own. They control almost half the web and half of the people we want to attempt to reach.

DK,
I would suggest using more proactive advertising within these networks to draw customers... Having 'events'...posting flyers... and coming up with creative ways to link up notes 'bernos' writes (in fb for instance) with the blog...etc.

having a dormant "group" or "identity"- account may not be enough...
...imho...

Abebe, at this time we are not reprinting any of our Tshirts. Basically you have to get the Tshirts as soon as they come out.

ewnetim arada mitmita....I guess if you did you I even excited, you must be a some what new bernos member. So 1st welcome.

2nd I did notice the difference in our name but still some what close enough.

And for the record, I did not say that I have copyright over the name mitmita but have been using the name for a while on bernos.

Also the reason it took me a long time to come up with the name is because I was looking for something that fits with my personality. It has nothing to do with my eating habits.

Hey the original Mitmita, To answer your questions...
"I have noticed my user name has been stolen. So Mitmita…what’s up with that? I disappear for a month or so and you take over my beloved user name that took me days to come up with? There must me some explanation to and I would love to hear it….am waiting anxiously"

I didn't know you even existed! LOL But, I don't know if you noticed at the end of my comment I signed Mitmita'Na Berbere, so we do have a little differece in the name! Beside you didn't originate the name "Mitmita" it's for all Ethiopians to share... unless you trademark or copyrighted the name "Mitmita"???????????

You said it took you days to come up with the name.. WOW, I'm impressed, let me guess you haven't had Kitfo for about 20 yrs.?? " (Fara!) As an average Ethiopian living abroad, I eat Kitfo once a weekw with Mitmita. ;-)

Wow. I had no idea there were so many Ethiopian users at those social net working sites. I should check them out sometime just to see what it is like.... I know my sisters use hi5.

I personally find the whole social networking thing slightly overwhelming. Too old may be (is 33 over the technology hill?) or premature aging!

Hello Bernos...It's been a while since I was on Bernos. I am one of those people who haven't been able to bounce back to my regular schedules since the holidays. (Regular schedules = reading bernos 10 times a day). Anyways I see lots have happened since my bernos days...the press and now myspace and hi5.

Am just amazed by these new sits such as hi5 and facebook. I was just recently in Addis and I was looking for my neighbor who I grew up with and was told she has moved away and nobody know where she is. Yesterday, a friend sends me a link for hi5 and I just sign up. I didn't think it was my kinda thing but I still signed up just to see what the hype is all about. Before the end of the day...I was talking to my childhood friend.

Anyways GOOD LUCK Bernos on myspace, hi5 and facebook.

Nice article DK... Just disappointed you did not post any of your sexy pics in here but not to worry, I already have that big poster you autographed for me during your underwear modeling days! By the way, would it be okay if I uploaded that pic? ;)

That reminds me - maybe Bernos should consider promoting Bernos boxer shorts, better yet how about nightwear? Anyway, that is really not the topic here... so, let me get back to the discussion at hand :P

So, I like the setup on both myspace and hi5 accounts, just had an interesting observation… I did not realize Bernos had a gender and for that it’s MALE! His birthday is January 1, is that really the true inception date for Bernos... how about the year?

Good luck and happy promoting… about time to rise and shine even higher then before!!!

This is a great article cause it shows how the internet community can be asset to any business, glad to hear thet Benosowch are riding the wave!!!!

I love all the pictures posted with the article and I'm sure myspace will reach out to people all over the world, so I suggest there are other myspace kind of communities you can search, I have seen but can't remember there is an African myspace site... maybe you can Google it ans see if you can find it.

Good luck to you and kudos to the Ethiopian artist supporting thier community. I love the picture with blue t-shit (I dreak in Amarigna) I just checked Maki myspace page, man did you hear the new song he has called "MinAlle" It has amaxing beat and lyrics about Ethiopia! It gave the chills...em>
