As far as I’m concerned your question also applies to ET girls, Why is it so hard to find them (not enough of them around – this may be true). It might take you 2 years to find an ET guy, but I will probably need a life time to find an ET girl. I’m 25, I live in the states but never had any relationship with ET girls….

I think there is a lots of good point people are making here on this web.But the whole point is we all makes mistaks. it is all in our mind.women expectation and men expectation are different.even it is different from individual to individual.we men like to have lasting relation which works as marrage is intended it suppouse to be.I some times think why women do not want to grow up and do the right thing rather than spending a lots of time on some thing that is artificial.Let God help them and us(men) too

3 years late to reply but I agree with you but I am talking from a female’s perspective. I refuse to date Ethiopian men just because I feel like I have to justify my social status – whether I went to private school in Addis, which Wesleyan schools I have attended in the US, and whether I work in a public or private sector. For Pete sake, get a life!

The problem is men not acting like men. Only 5$ men have sex with 75% of available women. This is true in most western countries. Those few men learned by trial and error how to attract and sleep with most women. The rest of men are clueless as to what women want. We are pulling our hairs in frustration. Most of us can face a bullet in war but will sweat and shake like little Sissys when it comes to talking to women. We have lost the fact that we are the dominant gender, that we should lead, we should be assertive, we should act like men. Instead we try to be as nice as possible to the women, we jump at their command and so in the process disgusting the women themselves we are trying to attract and possible lay.

i think the thing is the women are mostly hurt in the past….so they will thing the same thing will happen again in simple word they are pecimistic…WHEN U ARE KNJO THE PRESUURE IS EVEN WORSE(AS IS THE CASE IN ME)BECAUSE THEY THINK A MORE BEAUTIFUL GIRL WILL SNUB YOU OUT OF HER HANDS. so honestly i don’t know what to do about this…i could date other nationalities as there are some of them who showed clear interest i am a grad student now where there are bunches of beautiful girls fro evry corner of the planet but i couldn’t make up my mind to get in love with them….but i am getting obliged to get into that situation as i am getting hugly frusterated by my habesha sisters…..the worest came after i started dating a habesha girl and dumped me sooner after she saw me with freinds in habesha party as she was hoping to get married to handsome professional guy not party boy….i am sorry u gotta love me as i am if need be we can change it by discussing it in the table not by RUNNING AWAY….THE FUNNY THING WAS SHE IS ALSO PARTY GIRL…..WHAT A HYPOCRITE!!!!!!!

Hey your discussion is fantastic. I am in Uk for my education and I read all the comments posted here. I am happy for that most of Ethiopian girl/women living in Addis are not able to read it (thanks to our telecommunication corporation for its unreachable and slowest internet service). Most of your discussion points might poison our girls and consequently change the status que which is still admired by most Eth men. You know that you aren’t comfortable with those Ethiopian women living in DC (or similar places) because your way of thinking is changing by living abroad under different culture. In Addis still now setochachen yegedrdralu and the men also appreciate this. PLEASE KEEP YOUR DISTANCE FROM YE AGRE BYET SETOCHACEN!!!

I really can’t stand them, I mean u think u have won her but u end up a loser. one thing that I will never underatand is this “megderder”. I am not saying every Ethiopian girl should say ok for everyone who asks her out or proposes. after all she may not be intersted at all. that is understandable. but why megderder, how can I understand megderderuan or she is not intersted in me. this is waste of time. let me tell you my experience, there was this Ethiopian girl we went to the same school. we have known each other for almost a year. and there was a freind of mine(he is white),who was always surprised that I am single(BTW I am in my late 20s). he was like there are ethiopian girls why don’t you ask one of them. I was like (belbe negeru kelal adelem). anyways I asked the girl u know if she had a boyfreind, she says no. and we talked a lot just to better understand each other. she even says she wants to have a boyfreind because usally women are more affected by age than men.
and at some point I felt she has a good feeling for me
So I decided to ask her for a date. and I gave her plenty of time,she says ok. amazingly she called me in the morning of our date day and said she can’t because she has to go out with her freinds. I called her the next day , she said she is not ready. what is this? is this a joke. she said she will call me she never did. I waited 10 months for a date and she is not ready.
